Edward Douglas Dolde has been photographing landscapes of the American West for the last decade.  His portfolio includes images from Arizona, California, Utah, and the Pacific Northwest. Doug captures his images with both a 4x5 view camera and a Contax 645 with a Leaf Aptus 75S 33 megapixel digital back.

He was born in South Bend, Indiana and currently lives in Payson, Arizona.  His mother was a landscape watercolor painter. Doug received a B.S. in mathematics from Indiana University in 1970.  He now works as a full time pro photographer.

Doug’s vision for landscape photography is simple and straightforward: to express the light, grandeur, and emotion he felt while viewing the scene via a photograph. His craftsmanship in both image and printmaking as well as in making his own fine hardwood frames is finely honed.

He is represented by the Crystal Lotus Gallery in Pine, Arizona. He is also an exhibiting member of the Sedona Arts Center.

Doug has been a supporter of Words of Peace since the early 80's. Click below for further information.
